structureofICsisprerequisitetoavoidingmanypitfallsthat
preventtheeffectiveandreliableapplicationofintegrated
circuitsinsystemdesign.
Digitalelectronicshasevolvedtobeanextremelyim-
portantareaofcircuitdesign,butitisincludedalmostas
anafterthoughtinmanyintroductoryelectronicstexts.We
presentamorebalancedcoverageofanaloganddigitalcir-
cuits.Thewritingintegratestheauthors’extensiveindus-
trialbackgroundsinprecisionanaloganddigitaldesignwith
theirmanyyearsofexperienceintheclassroom.Abroad
spectrumoftopicsisincluded,andmaterialcaneasilybe
selectedtosatisfyeitheratwo-semesterorthree-quarter
sequenceinelectronics.
