解 因为S(x)是分段三次多项式,故只需S(x)C2[0,3]
由 1=S(1-0)=S(1+0)=c ,得 c=1
所以,当a=b=3,c=1时,S(x)是三次样条函数.
6-13.确定a，b，c,d,使函数
由 3=S(1-0)=S(1+0)=b ,得 b=3
由 6=S(1-0)=S(1+0)=2a ,得 a=3
是一个三次样条函数,且S(2)=12.
解 由已知可得: a+b+c+d=2, b+2c+3d=5,2c+6d=8,
6d=12, 解之得:a=-1,b=3,c=-2,d=2.
