The Hitag3 is a high performance Security Transponder for vehicle Immobilization applications, applying mutual authentication between the authorized transponder device and the base station and shall offer extended user EEPROM data space with versatile access and protection capabilities. The behavior of the HITAG3 Transponder operation is fully compatible among the products of the HITAG3 family (e.g. PCF7x41XTT, PCF7x61XTT, PCF7952XTT, PCF7953XTT). The protocol design of the Hitag3 is based on the established Hitag2 protocol and extended by the Hitag2Extended protocol improvements to support a fast and seamless base station software upgrade.
