本文运用一元线性回归模型，对我国城镇居民的消费支出和收入之间的长期稳定关系进行了研究，测算了边际消费倾向系数，并分析了二者之间的关系。研究结果显示，城镇居民收入是影响城镇居民消费性支出的主要原因，而收入增量和消费增量之间存在着显著的因果关系，城镇居民消费对城镇居民收入存在着显著的影响关系。提出了保持城镇收入持续增长，促进消费的建议。
